Another week of very good walleye fishing. The fish are on about every structure. Spend some time drilling holes with this nice weather...get some holes on top, edge and deep edge of the structure. The fish are sliding up and down the breaks throughout the day.
The bigger Gold/Hot Perch Macho minnow produced the best this week. 1/8 oz tipped with a minnow head. Not every fish slammed the baits this week...we did start to see some walleyes you really had to work. Tony does a nice job in explaining it in his video this week. If they show up to an aggressive jig and move fast to it...stay a little more aggressive....if they show up and slowly move up....stay slow with your jigging.
Ice conditions are good for the most part this week. Truck travel on resort roads to dozens of great structure. Still would caution any off road travel. Some of the new ice that formed 10 days ago is about 10-11". ATV/Sled can get you about anywhere on the lake right now.
