ICE REPORT 1/9/12

**Ice Update 1/9/12**
We still have a crack out front, our access will remain closed until at least Thursday. Someone went out of a public access south of Hunters Point and went in with a snowmobile. The gentlemen is okay and the snowmobile had been recovered. It is very important that you always check in with the resorts before you venture out.

Just wondering if you are pulling out any private shacks yet? I see you brought out some rentals or are people just sleeping in there staged shacks and going out in portables, also I'm assuming it's just atv traffic even out of whitecaps? And how much ice do we actually have up there ?any info would be great. Thank you, hope to see ya soon!

I was up on the lake yesterday and I went up out of the south side; there was about 10-14 inches of ice on the south side.

From reports I heard from other fishermen on the lake sounded like the east side had about 9-12 inches.

Freddy,

We are just staging things right now. We are staying to the east of the crack to give it a chance to heal. Hopefully with the cold weather in the forcast this week & weekend we will start pulling next week. We are not letting any traffic at all out of our access. You must do so at your own risk out of other accesses and private accesses but please check with the neighboring resorts to find out about any cracks or thin areas. We have 12-13 in the bay and spotty areas out past that.
